- Discuss the way you used your blog to organize your research and planning work and how you used it to showcase your production?

I have used Word Press throughout the 2 years that I have done media as it has been a useful way to store all of my work in a chronological and neat way. I have  organized my blog into different categories as I found that it was the easiest way to keep my work in order and by doing this it enabled me to access what I needed quickly and without any difficulty. By my blog having dates for each post it was easy for me to find the correct post that I wanted to look back at and showed how my work progressed.

I made a category especially for all of my research and planning. This helped me during the construction stages as it was able to find the posts that I was looking for easily to relate to them to gain ideas and different techniques. I posted regular updates of my trailer so that you could see the progression and so that I could look back and see if there was anything that I wanted to revert back to or change.

The blog was also very handy as I was able to use different technologies on it. I was able to create polls, which helped me make decisions from other peoples feedback. I was also able to upload photographs and videos which gives much more detail that standard word documents. It also made my blog much more interesting to look at and for others to develop a better understanding of the work I was going to be producing. By being able to upload images and videos it enabled me to show the stages and progression of my trailer, magazine cover and poster.

Having a place where people can post comments was also very handing when using the blogs. By this being there I was able to gain feedback and be able to develop what other people thought to make my work the best that I can.

I found the blog very useful as it helped me in all areas. It allowed me to put information and research into separate posts, which kept my blog organized. As Word Press was very easy to use and understand I was able to post blogs regularly without any trouble. It has also helped me manage with time deadlines etc. as I have been able to look at my blog quick and identify what I have done and what I need to do.

Discuss your use of the internet to research into trailers and their conventions.

I used google to research most of my work as I am familiar with this search engine and am always able to find the correct information that I am looking for. I found many websites which helped me into my research of all three constructions. I also went on websites, which had film reviews on the trailers in which I analyzed, as I was able to get more information on the films that I have not watched.

As all of my work was presented on my blog I often used the internet as to be able to access my blog I had to go onto the internet. I also went on the medi@chs blog as it helped me in my research and planning to look at useful links that were posted on there and also other peoples archives from previous years. This helped me develop my work considerably as I was able to compare my work and get an idea of how much was needed.

I used you tube frequently to watch different horror trailers and analysed them by watching them over and over again to identify the different techniques that were used and to help me get ideas on what to include in my own trailer. You tube was also useful to find soundtracks for my trailer as I was able to type in the type of thing that I was looking for and I was provided with a variety of sounds.

I created a few polls in order to help me make the correct decisions and to get feedback from others on my trailer. I made a poll to see what target audience they thought that I should set my trailer around so that I could make sure it was appropriate and would attract the correct group of people.
